In addition to the offenses listed here, Captain amErika may also have expanded her horizons to include blackmail. After being force out of her position at Tyndall AFB, FL, Captain amErika needed a sanctuary to lobby for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel. What better place than NSA where her 'fuck buddy' Lt Gen Michael Hayden could provide the endorsement she needed. Would he back her promotion? Of course! If Yoda was faced with her disclosing the secrets about her adultery with him, I'm sure he would waffle. This is promotion politics in the US Air Force.

Comparisons are usually educational. The well known case of former Lt Kelly Flinn should be compared to the allegations against Captain amErika.

Let's see. First argument, how would these items be handled in a civilian environment. Most civilian managers would not even think twice about this stuff. There might be a short meeting were the senior manager would end with, "Go forth and sin no more."

The assholes of the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot AFB, ND were idiots. Yes, I met the two responsible for the mess. The only person missing was Curley. Their enforcement of 'the higher standard' was very stupid because it showed the incredible, uneven application of 'standards.'

Any commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman who is convicted of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

The Manual for Courts Martial explains: Gentleman - As used in this article, "gentleman" includes both male and female commissioned officers, cadets, and midshipmen.

Nature of offense. Conduct violative of this article is action or behavior in an official capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the person as an officer, seriously compromises the officer's character as a gentleman, or action or behavior in an unofficial or private capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the officer personally, seriously compromises the person's standing as an officer. There are certain moral attributes common to the ideal officer and the perfect gentleman, a lack of which is indicated by acts of dishonesty, unfair dealing, indecency, indecorum, lawlessness, injustice, or cruelty. Not everyone is or can be expected to meet unrealistically high moral standards, but there is a limit of tolerance based on customs of the service and military necessity below which the personal standards of an officer, cadet, or midshipman cannot fall without seriously compromising the person's standing as an officer, cadet, or midshipman or the person's character as a gentleman. This article prohibits conduct by a commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman which, taking all the circumstances into consideration, is thus compromising. This article includes acts made punishable by any other article, provided these acts amount to conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. Thus, a commissioned officer who steals property violates both this article and Article 121. Whenever the offense charged is the same as a specific offense set forth in this Manual, the elements of proof are the same as those set forth in the paragraph which treats that specific offense, with the additional requirement that the act or omission constitutes conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman.

Examples of offenses. Instances of violation of this article include knowingly making a false official statement; dishonorable failure to pay a debt; cheating on an exam; opening and reading a letter of another without authority; using insulting or defamatory language to another officer in that officer's presence or about that officer to other military persons; being drunk and disorderly in a public place; public association with known prostitutes; committing or attempting to commit a crime involving moral turpitude; and failing without good cause to support the officer's family.

Art. 134. General article

Though not specifically mentioned in this chapter, all disorders and neglects to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces, all conduct of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces, and crimes and offenses not capital, of which persons subject to this chapter may be guilty, shall be taken cognizance of by a general, special, or summary court-martial, according to the nature and degree of the offense, and shall be punished at the discretion of that court

Specific Offense - Debt, dishonorably failing to pay

        (1) That the accused was indebted to a certain person or entity in a certain sum;

        (2) That this debt became due and payable on or about a certain date;

        (3) That while the debt was still due and payable the accused dishonorably failed to pay this debt; and

        (4) That, under the circumstances, the conduct of the accused was to the prejudice of good order and    discipline in the armed forces or was of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.

Indecent exposure

        (1) That the accused exposed a certain part of the accuseds body to public view in an indecent manner;

        (2) That the exposure was willful and wrongful; and

        (3) That, under the circumstances, the accused conduct was to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces or was of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.

- Failed to pay legitimate debts - she owes over $1000 to Cox Cable of Howard County Maryland

- Failed to pay spousal support - again, the Air Force has ignored her transgressions

- Failed to pay Maryland state taxes - the Comptroller of Maryland has been informed that she owes over $4,000 to the State of Maryland. Appropriate Air Force officials have been informed and Maryland is moving to attach her earnings. There has been no effort by the Air Force to discipline this flagrant violation.

Seems her immunity to serious offenses is linked to her fucking a three-star general. It must be nice to have a protector like that.

So the moral is: If you can lie, steal, and cheat - and have a three-star protector you can also become Company Grade Officer of the Year at NSA!!!

The military justice establishment is really screwed up. There is no such thing as "fair" application of the UCMJ. Look at the Kelly Flinn mess. It seems she was 'sacrificed' to encourage the others. This is totally idiocy with an all volunteer force. The motivation already exists - fools exert power only for powers sake. Look at what 'making an example' really produces.

Take a look at the case of LtCol Karen Tew, USAF. LtCol Tew was convicted by a courts-marital of adultery, fraternization, and sodomy. She committed suicide to retain her dignity and benefits for her surviving children. So the questions is: Why does the military punish severely occurrences the civilian community de-emphasized? It may be that old military dinosaurs are incapable of thinking about change. In any case, this webmaster what's to display the stupidity of current military 'leadership' and the inequity of the UCMJ in it's current form.

The goal of this webmaster is to see Captain amErika (Captain Erika L. Furlong [now Proctor], USAF) dismissed from the service. If she goes to jail, oh well, those are just the results of a fucked up military justice system. However, there is a chance she will duck the bullet and prosper.

So why has the webmaster shown both sides of how the AF covers up some violations and ruthlessly persecutes others?

The individuals in command, those protecting Captain amErika, must now make a decision. (Horror of horrors, decision-making by high-ranking officers?) Will Captain amErika be absolved from all wrong-doing, or will she be prosecuted to the maximum extent? The webmaster has a feeling that Captain amErika will disappear from the Air Force with as little notice as possible. This webpage and 'lots' of videos of her sexual antics are known everywhere. (They are a big hit at HQ AIA in San Antonio, TX, and with people in the 67th Information Operations Group.) Therefore, an example must be made. The sooner Captain amErika disappears, the better. So the webmaster anticipates Captain amErika will be allowed to resign and steal silently into the night. A courts-martial will only prolong the embarrassment of the Air Force and air lots of military 'dirty laundry' in the national media. (The webmaster will see to that.)
